Lee Yongsoon’s photographs begin with subtle shifts in the texture of air under the heat of midday. The wind softens almost imperceptibly, while light, air, and time intermingle to form quiet scenes of transition. Rather than capturing these moments through immediacy, the artist approaches them with a gaze shaped by long accumulation. The images she presents resemble memories—indistinct yet enduring—rather than specific, fixed events.
Mornings veiled in mist, shorelines where waves steadily arrive, traces of footsteps briefly resting on sand. Lee Yongsoon’s work does not aim to reproduce landscape as scenery, but to reveal the lingering presence and emotional afterimage that hover beyond it. This exhibition is composed of moments in the flow of a day where the viewer’s gaze naturally comes to rest. Within frames that invite calm observation, forms settle quietly and emotions unfold gradually. The textures of wind and time that Lee captures lend a gentle warmth to these fleeting pauses, allowing viewers to experience a moment in which both sight and feeling remain, unhurried and still.
한낮의 열기 속에서 공기의 결이 미묘하게 변하는 순간들로부터 이용순 작가의 사진은 시작된다. 바람은 거의 느껴지지 않게 부드러워지고, 빛과 공기, 그리고 시간은 서로 스며들며 고요한 전이의 장면을 만들어낸다. 작가는 이러한 순간들을 즉각적으로 포착하기보다, 오랜 시간 축적된 시선으로 바라본다. 그녀의 사진은 특정한 사건이나 명확한 장면이라기보다, 흐릿하지만 오래도록 남는 기억에 가깝다.
안개에 싸인 아침, 쉼 없이 밀려오는 파도의 해변, 모래 위에 잠시 머물다 사라지는 발자국의 흔적들. 이 용순의 작업은 풍경을 하나의 दृश्य로 재현하는 데 목적을 두지 않고, 그 너머에 머무는 기척과 감정의 잔상을 드러낸다. 이번 전시는 하루의 흐름 속에서 관람자의 시선이 자연스럽게 머무는 순간들로 구성되어 있다. 차분한 응시를 허락하는 프레임 안에서 형태는 고요히 자리하고, 감정은 서서히 펼쳐진다. 작가가 포착한 바람과 시간의 질감은 이러한 찰나의 멈춤에 부드러운 온기를 더하며, 관람자로 하여금 시선과 감정이 서두르지 않은 채 함께 머무는 순간을 경험하게 한다.
